Coronavirus emergency appeal
Age Cymru needs your help to support older people in Wales during the coronavirus outbreak.
With the Government’s recommendations for social distancing for people over 70, Age Cymru’s services have never been more in demand.
We’re working hard to ensure our vital information and advice can continue to safely help the older people who are reaching out to us during these deeply worrying times. Calls to our advice line have increased by 200%. We only expect this number to rise.
In communities across the Wales, older people are relying on Age Cymru and local Age Cymru partners to provide practical support with food supplies and much more.
We’re determined to be there for older people who need our help and especially those who have no one else to turn to, but we desperately need your support.
We are aiming to raise £500,000 to help us be there at this time of national crisis.
By donating to Age Cymru, you will help us reach the older people that need us most by providing:
expert advice through our free advice line
comfort and reassurance through our Check-in and chat service
funding for our local partners so they can support their communities in many ways.
Every pound counts. Thank you for donating today.
If we find that the needs of older people change during this emergency or we raise more than £500,000 we will apply any money raised to where the needs are greatest.
Age Cymru is a registered charity, number 1128436. Age Cymru will be raising funds on behalf of itself and local Age Cymru’s who are also registered charities.
Although it’s Age Cymru’s aim to raise at least £500,000, if this target cannot be met the funds raised during this emergency appeal will still be disbursed for the purposes listed in this appeal; wherever the need is greatest.
