For most, Christmas is a time of celebration and spending time with family and friends. But for many older people, festive cheer remains out of reach, with a staggering 84,670 older people in Wales saying they will eat Christmas dinner alone this year.

This feeling of isolation is all too familiar, with more than 112,200 older people in Wales finding Christmas Day to be the hardest day of the year, and nearly 98,000 feeling more isolated on this one day, than any other.

Your support will enable us to continue to provide crucial Friendship and Information and Advice services, allowing older people to benefit from companionship and friendship through group activities, social events, and contact from our friendly and supportive volunteers.

Your help will also ensure that nobody goes without the support they need to help with a range of issues which are often heightened at Christmas, such as dealing with the loss of a loved one, affording household costs, getting care and support, or understanding what help there is in their local community.

By donating to the Age Cymru Partnership Christmas campaign, with your support we can continue to be here for older people living in your community when we’re needed the most.

Together, we can tackle the loneliness crisis.
